…And right now, we are looking for a Remediation Manager to join us at an exciting time in Saga’s history. In this role, you'll manage and be involved in the development of direct reports and their teams ensuring that they are adequately supported and enabled to fulfil their roles.

You'll bring experience of Risk Management working practices or working within an Enterprise Risk Management framework.

Role Responsibility

  • Triage Processes (severity assessment and treatment strategies in practice) for Change and System owned incidents, faults and clean ups
  • Incident Management and Administration (for Change or IT owned Incidents or for activity relating to incidents that are owned by other functions within the business but for which Change or IT have a role to play)
  • Business Communications and Updates relating to Incidents, significant faults and clean ups (red issues) to all levels within the business (from CEO to service operating colleagues)
  • Defect & Clean Up MI & Reporting – collation, production and analysis
  • Issue analysis and solution design input and activity tracking to completion covering the whole of the remediation lifecycle
  • Management of Clean-Up Coordinator and Fault Team Lead (roles, titles and responsibilities tbc)
  • Production of Lessons Learned outcomes papers for each of the significant issues raised  (red issues)
  • Production of Lessons Learned and/or common themes arising from the Remediation pond attained through the oversight of it generally
  • Input to the Essential Services Change Partner and Change community more generally with insight on development of change management and delivery practice focused on ‘continuous improvement and quality first time
  • Management and development of direct reports and their teams ensuring that they are adequately supported and enabled to fulfil their roles, that performance management issues are dealt with in a timely manner and that conduct for all is in line with the Change Charter and Principles for Working Together

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and experience:

  • Proven stakeholder management gained in change management and delivery
  • Proven experience of successfully working within change delivery with process and reporting accountability
  • Business knowledge of Insurance Operations and Change/System Management (or relevant similar industry)
  • Proven communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills able to act at all levels of the business being audience aware
  • Experience of Risk Management working practices or working within an Enterprise Risk Management framework with awareness and experience of FCA regulation a distinct advantage
  • Experience of business analysis
  • Service management experience
  • Reporting and analysis skills

Education and qualifications:

  • Educated to HES level or with relevant business equivalent qualification

  • Leadership skills
  • Communication skills
