SEO Manager
Job Introduction

Key to this growth is driving incremental traffic to our websites, through SEO and improved organic search visibility with our target audience. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a SEO Manager.
As the SEO Manager you will create and build out an effective Saga Travel Group site SEO strategy across both Saga and Titan brands and websites. Sitting within the Digital and wider Marketing team, you’ll manage the organic search performance of our travel sites, overseeing the implementation and management of the website technical SEO changes, onsite & offsite content requirements. You’ll work closely with our key stakeholders and agency partners to establish best practice SEO frameworks and processes for the web development team, website editors, content team and social media team together with driving understanding across the wider marketing stakeholders.
You’ll work with the key stakeholders on both transformation projects and an ongoing optimisation basis to ensure our sites follow Google core web vitals, delivering not only organic search performance but ensuring our sites are responsive and delivering an exceptional digital customer experience. You’ll also work closely with the STG Brand, Content and wider Marketing team to create, curate and optimise relevant, unique and engaging content in order to drive organic search performance and traffic to our site. You’ll collaborate with our Marketing PR functions to maximise the opportunities from our traditional and digital-only PR activity.
You will have strong communication skills, both verbally and written, and will need to be pro-active, highly organised, able to work to deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. Role Responsibility
- Creating, executing and managing the Saga Travel Group SEO strategy.
- Collaborating with the Brand, Content and PR teams to create, curate and manage the required SEO related content on the Saga Travel Group website.
- Managing the third-party SEO agency relationships, driving performance and aligning activity across the wider Saga group.
- Identifying technical issues and working with the web development team to implement changes.
- Ensuring our websites achieve good Google Core Web Vitals.
- Collaborating with the marketing, content and wider digital team to optimise content and proactively create relevant content in order to drive SEO performance.
- Establishing key processes and frameworks for the website editors to adhere to.
- Establish, monitor, analyse and report relevant KPIs.
- Research and analyse opportunities and performance using digital analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics) and key SEO tools (i.e. Brightedge, SEOMoz).
- Creating editorial calendars and syndication schedules, working across other departments/BUs.
- Completing keyword research and competitor analysis as the basis to on-site and off-site campaigns.
- Collaborating with other departments to maximise group-wide performance.
- Working flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic team, collaborating, whilst also contributing actively and autonomously.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven SEO experience, understanding of SEO principles, across technical optimisation, keyword research, onsite optimisation and offsite link building
- Strong editorial experience, creative copy writing and commissioning
- Experience working in outreach programmes including working with influencers, journalists
- Web analytics experience (i.e. Adobe Analytics or GA)
- Experience using key SEO tools that enable data-driven decisions (SeMRush, Moz etc)
- Experience building content for a variety of online marketing channels
- CMS experience
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to teams and stakeholders
