Senior Copywriter - Creative
Job Introduction
Reporting to the Creative Marketing Manager the Senior Copywriter - Creative will Manage Titan’s creative copywriting team to produce content that spans across advertising style, imaginative headline led marketing sales messages, targeted personal (not just personalised) customer communications, product descriptive content and trade communications. This role will be responsible for creative copywriting through all of Titan's channels (off- and online).
Role Responsibility
- Manage the workload and performance of the team to ensure that all content/copy deadlines are met to Titan’s standards (for consistency, expertise and enthusiasm).
- Based on briefs from the Product and Customer Marketing teams, take full ownership for writing Titan’s marketing copy for all channels.
- Work hand in hand with the Designers to own and develop compelling responses to marketing brief, ensuring that the visual and verbal ideas are successfully joined up for creative effectiveness. These will be formally presented to the Marketing client for approval, before going into full production.
- Be a brand champion, ensuring brand values and positioning are consistently maintained within our busy studio environment
- Develop and maintain a thorough, up-to-date knowledge and awareness of Titan products, services, audiences and business priorities so that all copy is accurate, includes necessary terms and conditions and is sensitive to different audience needs
- Working with Product team, create copy for new products to describe them in the most effective, customer benefit led way
- Take an overall view of all written marketing communications to ensure consistency of style and tone.
- In response to the marketing brief, suggest innovative and creative copy treatments that will underline our 'expert' positioning and create brand preference for Titan.
- Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
Capability, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of line managing staff in a similar role.
- This role demands an experienced copywriter with a flair for the written word. A writer who understands Titan’s brand values, write naturally in Titan’s tone of voice and is passionate about creating stimulating, action led copy lines and content blocks.
- Creative and conceptual thinker who can solve communication problems in an appropriate and on brand way
- The role involves creating digital content (e.g. email, web, blog), so a solid grasp of writing for the digital user experience is vital, along with traditional media (press and brochures)
- The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to use their own initiative, working proactively to deliver to a brief in a timely, collaborative manner
- Experience of working on a mix of large communication campaigns or programmes and also smaller designed communication projects with fast turnaround times, ideally both B2C and B2B
- Strong planning and project management skills and experience, and flexibility to adapt to changing briefs
- Experience at presenting concepts and liaising with clients
- Graduate calibre with proven copywriting experience in a creative agency or in house design/marcomms function
- This person will have impeccable skills in writing and a keen eye for detail – grammar, punctuation, tone and positioning – as well as a creative, imaginative and positive style
