An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Training Executive to join the Saga Healthcare team.

You will be responsible for the overall delivery of carer training for Saga Care at Home and the agency business of Country Cousin and Patricia White.  You will be supporting the annual Carer Training Plan and will be responsible for the execution of this plan which also includes managing the Carer apprenticeship programme.

You will bring highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with excellent organisation skills.

Role Responsibility

  • Co-create with the Senior HR Business Partner the key deliverables required to ensure training is delivered to the highest possible standard, with the latest legislation and best practice
  • To outline the annual Carer Training Plan identifying risks and opportunities for the forthcoming 12 month
  • To coordinate and assign tasks with the Senior HR Business Partner to the training team
  • Maximise the training teams time to deliver the most value for money
  • To consider ways of generating a further revenue stream for agency Carer training
  • To ensure all training material is branded and printed in the most cost effective way
  • To ensure the training team have updated train the trainer training and appropriate qualifications
  • To be responsible for the local training budget and ensure spend is within allocated budget
  • To manage the relationship with the Carer apprenticeships programme with the 3rd party supplier
  • To ensure smooth coordination of the Carer Apprenticeship programme
  • To deliver and train the 15 CQC standards to new Carers so they are able to start delivering care in the field

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a training role is essential within Healthcare
  • Qualifications to be able to deliver H&SC certificate Level 1
  • Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education and Qualifications:

  • GSCEs and A-levels or equivalent experience

Personal Characteristics:

  • Enthusiastic and proactive training professional
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Capable of handling all delegates calmly but firmly
  • Ability to adapt style based on audience
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, adaptable, and used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and prioritise workloads
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use your own initiative
  • Confidentiality and flexibility are essential with a willingness to support the wider team
