As a result we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Web Analyst to join our team and help advance our capabilities.

We’re changing the way we work. We’re setting up a new Customer Value management team which will be made up of two parts; 1/ Targeting Strategy, comprised of analysts providing intel informing who we target when and with what, 2/ Targeting Operations, a team of CRM marketers tasked with executing and improving all outgoing marketing for the Group.

You will work in the Targeting Strategy team alongside SQL analysts and modellers. The team’s aim is to increase customer value by providing analysis and insight into the Targeting Operations Team’s marketing performance. Your colleagues will create standardised MI and reporting for Campaigns. They will run SQL analysis and create propensity models to improve targeting and will manage the Group Contact Strategy to optimise how often we contact which customers with what message via which channel.

You will use online tools like Adobe Analytics and SessionCam to provide insight into where our customers are visiting and their behaviour on our websites. You will help us understand how respondents to our campaigns behave online. You will provide insight into our levels of online customer identification and provide recommendations to increase ID’ing levels. This is set to become an important new objective as it is key to our matching online and offline data together and making Next-Best-Action decisions.

You will work with the SQL analysts to feed offline data and propensities for use online, and you will export raw clickstream data for analysis and modelling offline by the SQL analysts.

You will play an integral part in helping us create and execute our Next-Best-Action decisioning system. This will involve working with stakeholders and technology partners to determine scope, targeting rules, testing approach, measurement and optimisation. Then, once up and running, you will manage and optimise the offers the system presents both online and offline.

You are required to upskill our other analysts too. This includes sharing knowledge and best practice with our web analysts as well as cross-training the SQL analysts in online analysis too.

Role Responsibility

  • Creation of online reporting and insight using appropriate tools like Adobe Analytics & SessionCam
  • Specification of any necessary web dev changes to improve insight e.g. site data layer & tagging
  • Measuring and improving online customer ID’ing levels
  • Spec’ing offline data feed to be provided by SQL analysts
  • Uploading and managing offline data for use online
  • Providing insight into the effectiveness of online tests
  • Exporting and sending of online data for use in offline analysis & modelling
  • Training SQL analysts in online analytics
  • Sharing of online analytics knowledge & best practice with other web analysts across the group
  • Cross-training SQL analysts in online analysis
  • Assisting with the sourcing of tools and technology partners
  • Assisting in the implementing the next-best-action roadmap
  • Managing next-best-action inputs, tests, data refreshes, circulation of results
  • Manage the creation of online MI & Reporting for marketing campaigns ensuring timeliness
  • Ensure standardisation and automation of processes as far as possible to make the best use of time
  • Work closely with the Targeting Operations team to drive improved Customer Value
  • Present ideas to colleagues across the business
  • Ensure progress updates, results and performance analysis shared with key stakeholders
  • Managing multiple complex projects concurrently, tracking progress and success

The Ideal Candidate

  • Web analytics expert
  • Fluent user of Adobe Analytics (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with tag management solutions like Adobe’s DTM & Google’s GTM
  • Familiarity with session recording using tools like SessionCam (or equivalent)
  • Experience in A/B testing and personalisation using tools like Adobe Target (or equivalent)
  • Experience with email marketing and beyond-the-click reporting
  • Experience with decisioning technology desirable
  • A good understanding of digital and direct marketing, particularly the use of data for marketing
  • Very strong work ethic – there’s an awful lot to do and some short timeframes – need to be deadline driven and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
