At Saga, we’re building a ground-breaking media business, and we need exceptional people to join us at this early stage and help shape our proposition. Working as our Social Media Creator is an important one to help us reach our goal of becoming a super-brand for the over 50s, as we know there’s a huge audience on various social platforms, but very little media serving them. You’ll play an important part in executing the strategy the Audience Team is following to increase our reach across platforms.

You’ll be working alongside the rest of the Audience Team to ideate and create content plans in a variety of formats, from editing video to creating and editing images and working with our internal teams to deliver best in class content.

You’ll be hands on with posting across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and more.

** Remote/home working ** With a hybrid approach requiring some team days in one of our London / Kent / Wiltshire offices. You will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance to undertake this role.

Role Responsibility

You will be joining a growing team as our Social Media Creator, working alongside an in-house team of B2C marketing experts; audience developers, SEO, film and video producers, content writers, market insight, creative designers and brand champions.

Working as the Social Media Creator, you will be responsible for the following areas;   

  • To help us deliver our social media strategy.
  • Creating and editing short-form video for social media platforms.
  • Have a creative input and fresh ideas for content types across a diverse subject matter.
  • Creating native content for platforms.
  • Writing post copy and responding to our audience across the various platforms we’re on.
  • Ensuring that the execution of the strategy is delivering against our agreed goals.
  • Studying trends and data from platforms to help optimise our content output.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a passionate Social Media Creator to come and start or enhance their career journey representing an exciting platform; #SagaExceptional. You will be joining us as this exciting team is about to grow.

We need you to have experience of representing a brand across; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube. You will also need to demonstrate the following skills;

  • Content creation tools – you'll need to be proficient in Premiere Pro, Photoshop and some After Effects knowledge would help too.
  • Ability to prioritise competing priorities and complete them accurately and on time
  • Written skills – you'll need great spelling and grammar to ensure that our content meets brand expectations.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms from a business perspective.
  • Out of hours social support as/when required. Ability to triage or crisis manage in liaison with PR teams if required.
  • You will have previously worked client or agency side in social media role.
  • Can demonstrate a true passion for social media and keeping up with the latest trends.

Ultimately, you will be keen to try out new formats, and test new things out!

It would be great if you can demonstrate where you’ve done this before.

Desirable;

  • You can show what impact your work has had in growing a brand using social media platforms. (Portfolio of campaigns / Data evidence from a campaign.)
