And right now, we are looking for a Supplier Relationship Executive to join our Transport team. In this role, you will help with the management of our network of affiliate partners to achieve both quality and cost targets through the delivery of chauffeur driven and private hire journeys to our holiday customers across the Saga Group brands.  

You will be analytically minded with be an excellent communicator with good attention to detail. You will have strong Microsoft Office skills with a knowledge of the logistics or travel industries.

Role Responsibility

  • Creating and generating MI reports for analysing supplier performance on adhering to contractual SLAs 
  • Communicating service and performance issues with our key supplier contacts with the aim of managing through to a successful conclusion 
  • Liaising between the supplier and internal departments to investigate escalated quality issues and supply feedback 
  • Working closely with the Planning and Control Teams to ensure affiliate partners are prioritised for work allocation based on quality of service and preferable rates 
  • Updating and ensuring the correct affiliate journey rates are loaded in our planning system 
  • Assisting the Supplier Relationship Manager in monitoring and keeping affiliate costs within budget targets 
  • Helping in preparation and when needed attending supplier performance review meetings 
  • Preparing and conducting supplier audits covering licence checks, fleet size and vehicle types checks and performance adherence in relation to contractual SLAs 
  • Helping in conducting airport and cruise terminal affiliate audits around driver and vehicle standards 
  • Finding prospective suppliers and researching suitability to join our affiliate network through conducting initial operational due diligence checks 
  • Supplying cover in helping the Quality Administrator in logging and managing Transport related complaint investigations to a satisfactory conclusion. 
  • Providing support for Fleet Administration tasks including (but not exhaustive to) driver pay, expenses, general driver queries, uniform stock, driver, and vehicle documentation 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Good analytical skills with an attention to detail 
  • Able to work methodically under pressure and prioritise workload 
  • A constructive and enthusiastic approach to problem solving 
  • Use own initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Supplier Management experience would be preferable 
  • Understanding/experience of a transport company would be an advantage
