…And right now, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to work in our People part of the Insurance business at an exciting time in Saga’s history. As a Group, Saga is taking to the seas in our brand new, luxury cruise ships, leading the market with innovative insurance and financial products.   

You will be responsible for being a business partner within our talent acquisition team, where you will be proactively building relationships with Level 2 & 3 hiring managers, to assess future talent and capability requirements against Saga Insurance business and people strategies. 

You will also be looking after multiple roles, as well as supporting the recruitment and onboarding of leadership roles within Insurance, this will be done by sourcing through a variety of channels such as LinkedIn as well as other networks. 

You will bring an experience of end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced environment with a solid undertaking of how businesses operate.

Role Responsibility

As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner your top responsibilities are: 

  • Build proactive ‘business partner’ relationships with Level 3 and Level 2 hiring managers, to assess future talent and capability requirements against Saga Insurance business and people strategies, and to align talent sourcing and hiring strategies to these priorities. 

  • Proactively attract, source, and select, through a variety of channels such as LinkedIn as well as other networks, the right people to meet the business needs of today and the strategic needs of the future.  

  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of leadership roles within Insurance and, alongside the other Talent Acquisition Partner(s), specialist and non-volume technical roles within the Business Unit. 

  • Build a diverse pipeline and shortlist for all roles, and coaching and holding managers to account for their responsibility to drive diversity and inclusion, such as creating gender balanced interview panels. 

  • Build & maintain internal & external networks in Saga & the wider Insurance industry to stay informed and ahead of the relevant markets and competitor landscape and be able to provide market intelligence to the People team & hiring managers. 

  • Being aware of vacancies and incoming colleagues that fall within the SM&CR guidelines and taking all necessary steps to ensure compliance.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Personal organisation / programme management – managing multiple recruitment campaigns and competing agendas simultaneously. 

  • Communication – ability to build rapport quickly with colleagues, stakeholders, and candidates, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation. 

  • Impact – ability to negotiate and influence. 

  • Insight – ability to leverage data to inform and influence decisions. 

  • Substantial knowledge of best practice resourcing. 

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to create insight and drive decision making.  

  • Direct hiring models, using a broad range of channels including LinkedIn. 

  • CIPD (desirable). 

  • End-to-end recruitment experience operating from the agency side, in-house (as a Recruitment Business Partner/In-House Recruiter) or both. 

  • A curious, analytical mindset, with the ability to produce meaningful MI and insights that support decision-making and improvements. 

  • Engaging networking and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect to a variety of audiences proactively. 

  • An appreciation of what it is like to work in a regulated industry such as financial services.
