A rare chance to join a busy in-house recruitment team. As Saga’s Talent Acquisition Co-Ordinator, you will be working closely with the People Co-Ordinators, Talent Acquisition Partners and Head of Talent Acquisition to ensure all our successful hires experience a smooth and swift employment screening process.
In this role you will be supporting new colleagues with their background screening applications and any other questions or concerns they may have prior to their 1st day in the business.
If you’re keen to develop your career in Talent Acquisition and enjoy administration support roles, this role would give you a varied and interesting workload. Right at the heart of all our new colleagues’ journeys into working at Saga.
*You will be required to visit the London or Ashford Saga Hub monthly. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend one of these offices. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Role Responsibility
The Talent Acquisition Co-Ordinator will be fully responsible for the following;
- Providing a high level of service to our candidates, hiring managers and People Team, particularly at the offer and onboarding phase, helping to create an amazing experience at a crucial point in the recruitment journey.
- Requesting all references, Right to Work documents, DBS checks and financial background checks through our employment screening partner.
- Monitor all candidates daily in the pre-employment screening process.
- Record stages that are complete for the Talent Acquisition Partners and escalate any specific cases that require further attention.
- To thoroughly review references provided.
- To store documentation in line with company Data Protection requirements.
- Be able to support the Talent Acquisition Teams on volume recruitment activity; screening video interviews and booking interviews.
- Assist the Head of Talent Acquisition with weekly and monthly reporting; time to hire, source, costings, etc.
- Be keen to develop and learn new skills that could be of benefit to the overall support of a busy Talent Acquisition Team.
The Ideal Candidate
You don’t need to know everything from day one, if you’re enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn, then there’s a lot you can develop in this role. Some of our must-haves:
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to prioritise workload in a logical manner ensuring care and attention is made to start dates, salary levels and other personal data.
- Be keen to work as part of a busy team and willing to support colleagues when required.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to stay focussed when working under pressure.
- IT literate across MS word and excel.
- Evidence of being a fast learner, able to learn bespoke systems quickly.
- Confident to make suggestions to processes / ways of working which could benefit the team and department.
