We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the Finance business MI unit for Saga Services.

You will be overseeing the requirements for several Finance and reporting systems including TM1.

You will bring excellent requirements tracing, documentation and validation skills.

Role Responsibility

  • Eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios and business analysis
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information using functional requirements
  • Project definition with Technical Leads, turning business requirements into technical solutions centred around financial process and MI production
  • Driving and challenging business units and their processes to successfully execute development
  • Participating and leading daily stand ups to gain team delivery status, coordinate efforts with project management to resolve and drive forward issues
  • Feeding into testing requirements and plans based on the technical solution agreed and overcoming obstacles to ensure
  • Overseeing the requirements for several Finance and reporting systems including TM1
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information need and functional requirements and deliver high quality artefacts

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Understanding of Agile methodology, including BDD practices such as acceptance criteria, Given-When-Then statements, Unit, QA and acceptance testing.
  • Experience working with transactional systems as well as reporting applications and analysis tools
  • Experience working within a Finance or Reporting team
  • Excellent requirements tracing, documentation and validation skills
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ideally candidate will have experience working with SQL and / or PL / SQL

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good standard of secondary education
  • Willingness to work towards professional qualification

Personal Characteristics:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Should be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) capable of getting their points across to both technical and business representatives at all levels of the organisation
  • High level critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to detect and resolve problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
