Trainee Web Analytics Engineer

This role is an important role within the Group Digital Development part of Saga.

You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the web tools systems, as well as supporting many applications like Adobe Analytics & Target, Dynamic Tag Manager, Google tag Manager, SessionCam and Moxie webchat.

You will bring your skills and experience to this role, as well as having excellent attention to detail with high level motivation to learn.

Role Responsibility

  • Take requests from around the business to support the implementation of third-party tagging into the tag management solutions
  • Support in the ongoing maintenance of the web tools systems
  • Manage communication with stakeholders to update on the status of change requests from the Web Tools team
  • Collaborate with Infosec to ensure that tagging adheres to security guidelines
  • Develop knowledge of Javascript/JQuery and regex
  • Collaborate with site developers to make data layer enhancements to improve analytics.
  • Engage in acceptance testing and troubleshooting for analytics.
  • Support with software upgrades and patches
  • Develop the necessary skills for liaising with both technical and non-technical teams within Saga
  • Ensure that in-house best practice is adhered to, following any style guidelines and documentation
  • Engender a culture of continuous improvement consistent with the cultural context of the organisation
  • Seek opportunities to contribute original ideas to the benefit of the organisation
  • Perform any other duties consistent with the skill-set of the individual as required by the organisation from time to time

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good standard of secondary education
  • Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage
