Transport Planner
Job Introduction

And right now, we are looking for a Transport Planner to join our Transport department. Joining the business at a time of growth, you will be producing cost effective plans based on our business rules and policies enabling a world class service to our internal and external customers while achieving the lowest cost to our business.
Role Responsibility
- To learn, understand and maintain all aspects of our in house scheduling system.
- Be proactive with all future developments.
- Provide our reservation system with pick up times, within a set period, a minimum of four weeks at present prior to departure dates.
- Supply logical and efficient routes for all transfer journeys to fleet drivers and third party contractors.
- Maintain the rules and parameters set by the company to ensure that drivers do not exceed their working hours.
- Maintain and update all systems and other separate databases with new information when required.
- Be aware and act upon all changes, cancellations, queries and any alterations, which may affect the efficiency of any route.
- Maintain the error report of bookings that cannot be loaded into the system, with feedback to the relevant departments to correct errors so booking flow smoothly through the system..
- To provide ad-hoc transfers for products unable to be loaded in our company scheduling and booking systems.
- Maintain a record of any future customer/business journey requests
- Keep up to date with any developments within the Transport Department.
- Ensure good communication to all other key staff.
- Be flexible with working hours to meet the business demands.
- Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business.
- Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issue so as to create a healthy and safe working environment.
- Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the Company in line with the company Employee Handbook.
