…And right now, we are looking for an experienced Treasury Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will manage the Company’s cash, debt, currency forwards, hedge accounting and currency forecasting as well as ensuring the Company complies with regulatory banking covenants.

You will have great commercial awareness with a good understanding of the business impact of decisions. You will bring well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to operate in a fast decision making and entrepreneurial environment.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage Company bank account balances each day such that there are no overdrawn balances
  • Review and complete month end Company reporting packs
  • Cover FX spot and forward trading on behalf of the Company in line with Company policy
  • Assist with cashflow forecasting and planning
  • Maintain Trust account balances at the required level and make daily payments/ reclaims
  • Produce weekly and monthly Company operational cash flow and reconcile position to forecast to support liquidity management. Provide insightful commentary, including variance to prior forecast, and detail of working capital movements and actions underway to improve cash generation
  • Hedge accounting, currency forecasting and monthly analysis of adjustments.
  • Support or lead on ad hoc projects as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant
  • Proven experience working in Treasury, with significant demonstrable accounting/finance experience
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, able to operate in a fast decision making and entrepreneurial environment
  • Good commercial awareness with a good understanding of the business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of colleagues at varying levels of seniority
  • Able to quickly establish credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues at all levels, including Finance Directors and senior Finance colleagues
  • High integrity and objectivity capable of selling ideas and implementing change
  • Analytically strong with the ability to challenge and think outside the box
  • Possess an inquisitive mind, and be able to identify anomalies or inconsistencies and pursue these through to a resolution
  • Able to work autonomously
