And right now, we are looking for a Windows Server Engineer to work in our Technology Operations Team on a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract. The role is pivotal in making sure we deliver a server operating system upgrade project for around 300 servers. You will be a dynamic project engineer that, with support, can lead the technical delivery of the upgrades. You will be supported in communicating out to the business to align testing resources. You will have experience of upgrading large numbers of servers and will bring your knowledge to help us define and implement an efficient approach to these upgrades.

Role Responsibility
As a Windows Server Engineer your responsibilities will be:
- Focussing on the technical delivery of the server 2012 upgrades.
- Demonstrating elevated expertise of infrastructure, ideally at scale, across multiple environments, for example: Public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises.
- Owning and leading the delivery and resolution of project actions, technical problems & incidents.
- Liaising with Saga technology teams and external partners, including user groups, technical IT consultants and project managers.
- Demonstrating an elevated level of technical expertise in Microsoft technologies and ideally have first-hand knowledge of operating system upgrades at scale.
- Supporting the technology operations management team in developing and delivering innovative technology initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
· Extensive experience with Microsoft Server technologies, specifically server 2012 R2 onwards.
· Demonstrable experience with Active Directory Multi-Domain Management.
· Experience with large scale server operating system upgrades.
· Strong technical knowledge and experience of Active Directory Integrated Certificate Services.
· VMware Stack Management.
· Good understanding of cyber security.
· Basic understanding of ITIL service management processes including incident, problem, and change management.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Customer-service focussed.
· Data driven approach to decision making.
· Good analytical skills with the ability to use data to determine cause of incidents, and able to act on this data to resolve incidents.
· Ability to constantly develop skills and industry knowledge.
· Resilient, able to work methodically under pressure.
